Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute
Heart disease is still the leading cause of death and disability in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), an estimated 785,000 Americans will have a new coronary attack and about 470,000 will have a recurrent attack in 2009.
With the establishment of the Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute, which broke ground in 2008, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center is positioning itself to be an even greater leader in the fight against this deadly disease.
